BBaron Lanteigne hijacks technologies to reveal their materiality and potential. His ongoing research examines the ergonomics of our everyday digital habits, exposing the frictions and subtle discomforts that arise at the thresholds where the physical meets the digital. The traces of his research manifest as sculptural screen-portals that open onto fragile digital ecosystems. Through performance, he plays with how small gestures can shift their balance.
Baron’s online-first practice is an integral part of online collections and events such as The Wrong Biennale, Real-fake.org, Electrofringe, SPAMM, Glitch Artist Collective, FeltZine, MoCDA and many others.
His works were presented around the world in locations such as the Ludwig Museum in Budapest (HU), the Modern Art Museum Lyon (FR), the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris (FR), the Centre des Arts d'Enghien-les-Bains (FR), the Seoul Arts Center (KR), the Gwangju Media Platform (KR), the Kunstmuseum in Bonn (DE), and many others.
Baron Lanteigne's work has been shown at many digital art events, including ISEA, Mapping Festival (CH), Mirage Festival (FR), MUTEK (CA; JP), Dutch Design Week (NL), Lunchmeat (CZ), Sónar+D (ES), CPH:DOX (DK), and the 6th International Digital Art Biennial by ELEKTRA (CA).

Baron Lanteigne détourne les technologies pour en révéler la matérialité et le potentiel. Sa recherche en cours examine l'ergonomie de nos habitudes numériques quotidiennes, mettant en lumière les frictions et les inconforts subtils qui surgissent aux seuils où le physique rencontre le numérique. Les traces de cette recherche se manifestent sous forme de portails-écrans sculpturaux qui s'ouvrent sur des écosystèmes numériques fragiles. À travers la performance, il joue avec la manière dont de petits gestes peuvent en déplacer l'équilibre.
La démarche essentiellement en ligne de Baron fait partie intégrante de collections et d'événements tels que The Wrong Biennale, Real-fake.org, Electrofringe, SPAMM, Glitch Artist Collective, FeltZine, MoCDA et plusieurs autres.
