perfect suburb (2021)
Perfect Suburb refers to futurology and green architecture as developed in a context of surveillance capitalism. The work is inspired by Amazon Sidewalk, which aims to connect entire suburban neighborhoods via a low-speed wireless network dedicated to smart cameras and microphones, all connected to Amazon servers. Amazon Echo devices have Sidewalk enabled by default and do not inform their owner about it. The project focuses on the relationship between seclusion and our control over private environments in parallel with the total abandonment of this privacy when we adhere to the services of Tech Giants.
